And futures for Brent oil rose 81 cents to $75.51 a barrel, and yesterday, Thursday, they broke a three-day losing streak and recorded a gain of 1.4 percent after settlement.
US West Texas Intermediate rose 78 cents to $69.13 a barrel after yesterday’s close of 1.1 percent.
This week, both contracts recorded their lowest level in more than a year and are on track for a record weekly decline since December, at around 10%.
