Juventus (Italy) reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League by beating host German side Freiburg with a clean double in a match that brought them to the Europa League Round of 16 on Thursday night at Parc Europa .
The match of the first leg ended with Juventus beating their German guest Freiburg with the only goal scored by the Argentine Angel Di Maria at the Allianz Stadium in Turin in the first leg of the 16th round of the Europa League.
Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic scored Juventus’ first goal in the 45th minute from the penalty spot, after which the referee sent Freiburg’s Manuel Gold off the field.
And VAR’s video equipment canceled Vlahovic’s goal in the 27th minute due to offside.
In the second half, Federico Chiesa managed to add a second Juventus goal in the fifth minute instead of missing the match with a right hand shot from the Freiburg goalkeeper.
