Moroccan international Abdelkabir Abkar expressed his great joy at being invited by national voter Walid Rekragui to take part in the Atlas Lions friendly matches against Brazil and Peru, scheduled for 25 and 28 March.
Abakar said in statements to the media that it was a big dream for him to play for the Moroccan national team, adding: “It’s great to get an invitation from my country’s national team.”
Abdelkabir Abkar continued, commenting on the invitation he received from Regraga to play in the two upcoming friendly matches, saying: “My mother was crying when she received the news of my call to play with the Moroccan national team.”
He added: “Getting an invitation to play for Morocco was also a thank you to my Alaves team, which helped me stand out from the start of the season. In fact, I play constantly and regularly with the club and worked hard to be in the ranks of the Moroccan national team. Getting an invitation to represent your country is not easy.
Abakar (24) has made 28 appearances with his team Alaves this season out of 31, during which he has attracted the attention of the Lviv technical staff.
